Evidence-Based Answer: Screening chronic hepatitis B carriers for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) with ultrasound every 6 months may lead to earlier detection of resectable tumors (SOR: C, expert opinion). A clinical predication score may help determine which hepatitis B carriers would benefit most from surveillance (SOR: B, cohort study).
