Metadata[+] Show full item record
Is zinc effective at providing symptomatic relief for upper respiratory tract infections? Bottom line: Probably. Zinc therapies are associated with decreased severity and duration of upper respiratory tract infection (URI) symptoms. Variation in zinc formulation, dosing, route of administration, duration of treatment, and population studied may account for conflicting results and complicates determining the most effective zinc regimen (SOR: B, meta-analyses).
