Does physical therapy improve symptoms of fibromyalgia? Evidence-Based Answer: Aerobic exercise and strength training 2 to 3 times per week as well as water-based physical therapy for at least 20 weeks can modestly improve the symptoms of fibromyalgia (SOR: B, meta-analyses of lower quality RCTs).
