NSAID and antithrombotic therapy associated with increased bleeding and CV events
Bottom line: Prescribing NSAIDs for patients on antithrombotic therapy after a first MI is associated with an increased rate of serious bleeding and cardiovascular events. As an observational study, this study cannot address adherence, medications available over the counter, or other confounders.
