Effects of a finite bias on the I-V characteristics of a unipolar spin diode [abstract]
Abstract
We present an improved theory of the current-voltage characteristics of the unipolar spin diode, which takes into account the effect of the electric bias on the spin-flip probability near the domain wall junction. We show that increasing the bias reduces the spin-flip rate, thus effectively widening the temperature window in which operation of the spin diode is nearly ideal.
