    Abstract
Are azapirones more effective than placebo in treating panic disorder among adults? EVIDENCE-BASED ANSWER: Azapirones (buspirone) are probably not more effective than placebo in decreasing panic attacks and anxiety symptoms in adults with panic disorder. In addition, azapirones are less well tolerated than placebo (SOR: B, systematic review of low-quality RCTs and single RCT).
