The Coccidae of scale insects of Missouri
Abstract
Text from pages 1-2: Missouri stands almost surrounded by her sister states without having given her contributions to coccidology along with the others. Kansas, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana and Ohio has each added much to our knowledge of the Coccidae. Although an occasional reference to certain common Missouri coccids will be found in literature, an economic and systematic investigation of this group as a Whole has never been undertaken in this state. It was with a view of extending our present knowledge of this family of insects in Missouri that the writer has undertaken this investigation.
