Minimum milk requirement for calf raising
Abstract
The dairyman is keenly interested in knowing how he can raise his calves in an economical and successful manner. This thesis reports the results of several experiments in early weaning and minimum use of milk for calf rearing, which constitute part of a plan for making a thorough study of the problems involved in the early growth and development of dairy heifers. The review of literature embodies a resume of published data on the subject, as well as a survey of what has been written on the newer factors influencing growth and their application to practical feeding operations.
