Want to lose weight? Don't count those steps. Bottom line: The use of wearable technology to monitor physical activity did not lead to increased weight loss in this population of patients. Recommending this type of technology is not the standard, and this study showed that the device may not help patients lose weight. In addition, not all patients will have access to these types of electronic resources.
