Macedonian Folk Poetry, Principally Lyric
Abstract
Macedonian folk literature, which has its beginnings in the distant past, developed over a long period of time. Information provided by the Byzantine chronicler Nicephorus (Nikephoros) Gregoras in 1326 is one of the most convincing testimonies to its antiquity.
