College of Agriculture : Department of Home Economics
Abstract
Home Economics is the application of arts, sciences, psychology, economics, and sociology to home problems. With knowledge of these subjects as a background the study of home economics provides a broad cultured education for young women, which enables them to fill their place in society. Home Economics helps solve the problems of maintaining a family in good health through adequate nutrition, proper clothing, and more wholesome surroundings, and it furnishes a more complete understanding of human relationships. Some of the more specific opportunities in the field of home economics are given in the following pages.--Page 3.
