What is the best diagnostic strategy for microscopic hematuria in children?
Metadata[+] Show full item record
Isolated microscopic hematuria in children is usually benign and transient and may be safely managed simply with a history and physical, reassurance, and repeat urine microscopy. However, if microscopic hematuria presents with concomitant proteinuria, the risk of underlying renal disease is high and work-up or referral is indicated.
