Abstract: Antihistamines, thiethylperazine (a phenothiazine), pyridoxine (vitamin B6), and ginger are all effective for the relief of nausea. (SOR A, based on a meta-analysis.) The effect of these agents on vomiting is less clear. The combination of pyridoxine and metoclopramide is more effective than prochlorperazine or promethazine given as single agents. (SOR B, based on 1 open-label study.)
