Dust Mites and Asthma
Metadata[+] Show full item record
Asthma affects 30 million people of all ages and races. Asthma triggers (allergens) can cause the airways in the lungs to constrict, resulting in wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, and breathlessness. Dust mites are one of the most common allergens triggering the symptoms. Many medical organizations, physicians, books, and pamphlets currently recommend physical and chemical means to reduce dust mites. These recommendations often lead to a flurry of activities to try and reduce dust and mites in the home.
