Abstract: In women who experience premature rupture of membranes (PROM) at term (≥37 weeks), induction of labor at presentation, rather than using expectant management, decreases the risk of chorioamnionitis, endometritis, and neonatal intensive care unit/special care nursery stay without changing the incidence of operative delivery or neonatal infection.
