Consistent evidence shows that, in comparison to patients with an estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) of >60 mL/min/1.73 m2, patients with an eGFR <45-50 mL/min/1.73 m2 have an increased risk in all-cause and cardiovascular (CV) mortality and cardiovascular events.
