Increased salt intake, compression stockings, and midodrine can reduce symptoms related to benign orthostatic hypotension. (SOR B, based on a single study of each intervention.) Counterpressure measures are safe, easy, reliable strategies to prevent syncope. (SOR A, based on 2 randomized controlled trials [RCTs] and a case series.)
