Bibliography of Missouri geography : a guide to written material on places and regions of Missouri

Abstract

This bibliography is intended to serve as large an audience as possible. Included are works of a range of reading difficulty or sophistication. The annotations for entries should serve as guides to the kind of readership intended by an author, when such information seems helpful to know. Also, some studies in the bibliography are now woefully obsolete or otherwise of little practical use today. They have been included for those interested in historical perspectives, and again the entry annotations should alert the user to such studies. More specifically the bibliography includes -published articles and books of all dates; -selected, contemporary atlases; -unpublished Ph.D. dissertations and master's theses; -university publications, such as reports of experiment stations; -published U. S. government documents and Missouri state documents with descriptive or interpretive texts; -selected unpublished materials, as certain reports from consulting firms and government agencies.--Page iii
