dc.description.abstractPreliminary statement: Purpose: The purpose of the study was to ascertain something of the levels of living of farm and village families in a selected area in Southeast Missouri. Particular emphasis is given to the tenure groups: owner, renter, share-cropper, and farm laborer. Scope: The inquiry included a sample of 1,533 households in the open country and villages of' Dunklin, New Madrid, and Pemiscot Counties in Southeast Missouri.
