The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology provides administration for clinical physicians in a teaching hospital. Patient services include those related for obstetrics and gynecology.
The large volume of gynecologic and obstetric care assures residents of receiving adequate opportunities for decision-making and surgical experience in all subspecialty divisions of the department. Each resident year is divided into several blocks, which can include obstetrics, gynecology, geriatric Ob/Gyn, night rotation, nursery, ultrasound, perinatal obstetrics, adolescent obstetrics, oncology and endocrinology.
