Department of Pediatrics (UMKC)
Welcome to the Children’s Mercy Hospitals and Clinics (CMHC) Pediatric Residency Program. We are the Department of Pediatrics for the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine. Come and see us! You’ll find that CMHC is a great place to be -- in fact, it’s a 2005 winner of Ingram’s Magazine’s top places to work in Kansas City. We have a longstanding tradition of excellence in pediatric education and our resources continue to grow.
Our new Pediatric Research Center is dedicated to the power of discovery. It provides the most technologically advanced facilities for research in genetics, diabetes, allergy/immunology, newborn lung disease, kidney disease and more. We are one of the premier Pharmacology Research Centers in the country performing pioneering research in pharmacogenomics and pharmacokinetics. Over the past 10 years CMHC researchers have continued to move up in the rankings of children’s hospitals receiving NIH funding.
