The purpose of this research is to study how journalists in America write and compose news headlines, and how they decide to frame news headlines to get more people to read their articles when necessary. This project recruited 12 journalists from newsrooms across the country, and those journalists' experiences in news range between several months and up to 30 plus years. This research found that journalists with different backgrounds and serve different communities will frame news headline in ways that fit their needs. Although there isn't a universal way to write news headline, most journalists interviewed indicated that they tend to include as much information as they can in a news headline because they notice that more frequently than not, readers only read news headlines instead of the articles.eng
