Benefits and risks of biosolids
Abstract
"Biosolids are domestic wastewater sludge that meet standards for beneficial use as fertilizer or soil conditioner. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Missouri Department of Natural Resources (Missouri DNR) developed standards to regulate safe use or disposal of biosolids. The standards were specifically developed to protect human health and the environment, including the health of animals, crops, soils, wildlife and aquatic life."--Page 1.
