Abstract: Internal fixation of osteoporotic spines for fracture or deformity is currently difficult, owing to failure at the bone- implant interface. This study aims to ascertain whether pedicle screw trajectory and pedicle cortex retention can independently significantly affect fixation strength in osteoporotic vertebrae.
