Abstract

"The University of Missouri has provided correspondence study since 1911. In that period of time, several hundred thousand students have availed themselves of the independent study opportunity. During 1980-81 there were 14,350 new enroll­ments in Center for Independent Study courses. The University of Missouri has a strong and growing program of correspondence study, and we are pleased to be able to offer this service."--Page [2].
