Abstract
"A healthy deer population has the following attributes: Higher recruitment rates, Greater body mass, Larger antler growth potential. Nutrition is one of three main factors that influence antler growth and body size of white-tailed deer. The other two factors are age and genetics. This guide focuses on the importance of providing nutrition as the basis for managing quality deer populations on a property. For more information on how nutrition, age and genetics affect antler and body size, refer to MU Extension publication G9480, Implementing Quality Deer Management on Your Property."--Page 1.
