Abstract: The meningococcal conjugate vaccines are safe (SOR: A,based on systematic review and multiple RCTs) and immunogenic. The conjugate vaccines provide a superior immune response—particularly in younger populations—compared with the older polysaccharide vaccines. Efficacy data are lacking because the disease is rare.
