(University of Missouri--Columbia. Extension Division., 1981) Weaver, Glenn; Keppler, Kurt

Exercise trails combine environmental aesthetics with such physical exercise as jogging, hiking, or calisthenics. The idea of combining calisthenics with hiking and running started in Switzerland during the late 1960 ' s. The popularity of these courses has been enhanced by the recent research supporting the premise that physical fitness contributes to an individual’s physical and emotional well-being.
