Missouri Energy Summit 2009

While energy continues to be the basis of industrialized civilization, its abundance can no longer be taken for granted. That's why the four-campus University of Missouri System is embarking on the university's first-ever Energy Summit. The UM System is working to develop alternative energy sources that are reliable and affordable, but we know we are not in this alone. On April 22-23, 2009, in Columbia, MO, faculty and researchers, businesses, entrepreneurs and venture capitalists from across the state and beyond, along with federal and state agencies, gather to explore and showcase Missouri's cutting-edge research and development efforts in energy, alternative fuel sources, power, storage, infrastructure and enabling technologies. The summit will highlight our successes—and guide us on where we need to go in the future.
