The Department of Human Development and Family Science is one of the academic units of the College of Human Environmental Sciences at the University of Missouri--Columbia. HDFS focuses on lifespan human development and families in a variety of relational, social, and cultural contexts. Faculty conduct basic and applied research, with a unique investment in the application of new knowledge to issues facing individuals and families.
The department was formerly called the Department of Human Development and Family Studies.
