Abstract
"Lighting is a major area of concern in energy conservation. Lighting accounts for 3.5 percent of the average home's total energy bill and as much as 8-16 percent of the total electric bill. Our use of lighting is to have a functionally designed plan that provides adequate illumination with the least possible heat emission. Grouping activities and providing the right kind and amount of lighting needed to carry out the task can avoid waste of energy."--First paragraph.
