dc.description.abstract | This manuscript was written to describe in some detail the Instructional Practices Inventory (IPI) data collection categories, the use of those categories to support school-wide instructional change by studying student engaged learning and provide data from schools of various types that have used the IPI. The audiences for this manuscript are educators who are just learning about the IPI process and would like insight about its use and value, and educators who use the IPI and would like to review the recommended processes and reflect about how it is used in their school. The discussions throughout this manuscript are based upon nearly a decade of use of the IPI in school improvement in projects of the Middle Level Leadership Center as well as observations and data from schools across the nation that utilize the IPI as one of their processes for school improvement. | eng |
