dc.description.abstract The primary purpose of this annotated bibliography is to provide scholars and critics of George Herbert with an aid to research. This study is the first to collect and fully annotate the criticism and scholarship written on Herbert in this century. This work has been greatly facilitated, however, by a number of previously published bibliographical essays and checklists and is, in one sense, both an extension of, and an elaboration on portions of, these earlier studies.
