Unblocking a Free Market Perspective in Labor Economics
Abstract
In Labor Economics from a Free Market Perspective: Employing the Unemployable (2008) Walter Block presents a seemingly comprehensive free market perspective on the economics of the labor market. In this paper, I analyze the essence of Block's argument from what I suspect is a somewhat unexpected angle: I criticize the scope of his arguments, and especially his conclusions and underlying assumptions and reasons, adopting the radically libertarian or free-market point of view - the very same view championed and utilized by Block.
