This 48-slide presentation examines the four-mallet marimba repertoire and identifies difficulty levels that expand the current grading system (beginning, intermediate, advanced) with the purpose of creating a pedagogically helpful listing of literature. The presentation evaluates the hypothesis that there are fewer pieces written for intermediate players than there are for advanced. Due to there being more performers available to play intermediate pieces, this results in more pieces are being written for the fewest number of performers.eng
