Missouri approach to : animal waste management
Abstract
"Livestock producers must have guidelines on animal waste management that will be feasible and enduring. The need for improved methods of handling waste from confined feeding operations is also evident. Chapter 204 of the Revised Statutes of Missouri, 1969, as amended, gives the Clean Waster Commission the responsibility and authority to correct and/or prevent 'pollution' of 'waters of the state.' Research data and experience in handling livestock wastes have been used to develop these guidelines for planning, design, construction, and management of livestock waste handling systems. the information and design guidelines are intended primarily for use by personnel in agencies concerned with animal waste management problems."--Preface.
